Employee Engagement Survey Revision: We have changed the way we capture the age demographic on the employee survey. By asking for a respondent’s birth year, we can categorize employee responses by generational groupings. This will allow your organization to segment response data by Millennials, Baby Boomers etc. Take a peek at the survey found here.

To participate, all organizations begin by submitting a registration form.

Registration Deadline: March 30, 2018

Within one business day of registration, the primary contact listed on the registration form will receive a confirmation email with additional instructions. If confirmation is not received within the next business day, please email .

Best Companies Group primarily works through email. should be white-listed so that it will be an approved sender, and we recommend that you consistently check your spam or junk folder for any updates.

Survey Fees: If your organization needs to use our paper employee survey process, there are fees to cover printing, shipping and processing of the surveys. The fee is based upon the size of the organization. If you opt for the paper process, your organization can choose to pay via credit card at the end of registration or choose to be invoiced. Not all companies are eligible for the free email-based online process, and we cannot combine both survey methods. Please review the Assessment Process page for further information.

(1) A nominal non-refundable paper fee to cover the cost of printing, processing and shipping the paper surveys.
(2) To ensure the credibility of the information, companies with 15-24 employees must have an 80% (or better) response rate to be considered for the list.
(3) Employees are randomly selected. Best Companies Group offers the option to survey more employees than the random sample calculated in the above chart, and/or include additional employees in the survey process who work in locations outside of the program area. Please contact Best Companies Group for details and pricing.

Added Value: Upon completion of the assessment process, all participating organizations have the opportunity to purchase the results of their employee survey in the form of the Employee Feedback Report. Click here to learn more about the Employee Feedback Report. Once your registration is received, Best Companies Group will send your organization (according to the Timeline):  

  • The Employer Benefits & Policies Questionnaire (employer questionnaire)
  • The Employee Engagement & Satisfaction Survey
  • Survey distribution instructions
  • Other supporting materials and instructions (see Assessment Process for more details)

Program Registration Instructions

Thank you for your interest in participating in the 2018 "Best Places to Work in Los Angeles" program. Registration includes the following steps:

Step 1: READ the Assessment Process information and the information supplied on the next page after clicking “Continue” below.

Step 2: COMPLETE your registration form. A complete registration is required for each organization entering.

Step 3: CHECK OUT Select either the free online survey (if your company is eligible and wants to use the online employee survey process and does not wish to purchase any additional options or reports) or select to pay online or be invoiced (if you need to use the paper process, want to purchase the Employee Feedback Report or need to order alternate language translations).

Step 4: SUBMIT Review and confirm your information.

CONFIRMATION: The primary contact listed on the registration form will receive a confirmation email from  within one business day of submitting your registration. If your organization chooses to purchase the Employee Feedback Report, needs paper surveys or a language translation, and chooses to pay online at the end of the registration, a receipt will be sent from to the address provided on the payment form.
